2018 – New Year Revamp

The Watershed Theatre Company celebrates its 15 year anniversary this year and we are looking forward to a busy year full of new events and updates to celebrate.

We are currently revamping our website and Facebook pages, redesigning our logos and developing brand new performance programmes to take out on the road.

We will be updating this site regularly so keep checking for details on where you can see us next!

In the meantime, why not check out our new Gallery page for a look back at some of the performances and a lot of rehearsal antics over the past 15 years.

Austentatious – UK Amateur Premiere

Austen1

New for 2015, the Watershed Theatre Company are excited to announce the UK Amateur Premiere of a new musical.

Austentatious follows the trials and tribulations of the Central Riverdale Amateur Players as they rehearse their new adaptation of ‘Pride and Prejudice’.  Long-suffering Stage Manager Sam has her hands full with a spurned diva, a reluctant leading man, an egotistical leading lady and a director who has only ever seen Pride and Prejudice on DVD.

This musical premiered at the New York Musical Theatre Festival with Broadway star Stephanie D’Abbruzzo (Avenue Q) before a sell out run at the Landor Theatre London in 2009 with a cast of West End names including Cassidy Janson (Wicked), Simon Lipkin (Avenue Q), Jenna Boyd (Acorn Antiques the Musical).

The Watershed’s production will be the first in the UK and Europe since this London run.

Tickets are now on sale from the box office on 01922 630495 or download a booking form here.

“You should represent us at Eurovision”

“You should represent us at Eurovision” was the feedback from our last concert at the beautiful All Saints Church, Alrewas Staffordshire.

After months of trying to find a suitable date we finally managed to appear at the Church as part of their new concert series and had a great time; despite us all battling colds, flu and the dreaded laryngitis!

A huge congratulations to Roger Shepherd our newest recruit to the company on learning everything to performance standard with just 10 days notice!

Next stop for us is a performance at one our favourite venues; the village hall in Beckbury, Shropshire followed by another appearance at the Florette Festival Market at Lichfield Festival on 7th July. http://www.lichfieldfestival.org

Come and see us there!

Its Showtime!

A whole year has gone by without us updating the website – we have been so busy! We need to employ a web developer!  2011 saw us in lots of brand new venues, performing to lovely audiences.  We had a great time developing new material, meeting new audience members and acquiring new members of the company.  We will be getting new production photos soon, but in the meantime we’d like to introduce you to our two latest performers Elliot and Ellamae.  For more details see the ‘Who we are…’ page.

Plans are afoot for the new 2012 show touring to venues near you shortly.  If you would like a concert for your venue, please get in touch
